Itay Goldberg is a saxophonist, woodwind specialist, composer, performer, and improviser. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1993, Itay developed a passion for music during his early childhood, where he learned to play the piano and drums. At the age of 15, Itay was awarded a special scholarship by the mayor of Rishon Lezion, Israel, to pursue studies of the saxophone, a discipline in which he discovered his true voice and passion. Itay swiftly became an active member of the Rishon Lezion Jazz Orchestra, making him the youngest musician ever to perform with the orchestra.

In 2017, after graduating from the Israeli Conservatory, Itay chose to enhance his musical passion in New York City, By pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance at The New School.

Itay performed with jazz legends like Ari Hoenig, Reggie Workman, Joel Frahm, Aaron Goldberg, and more. enhancing his skills and establishing his mark in the NYC jazz scene.

Upon graduation, Itay quickly established himself as a prominent woodwind specialist in the vibrant NYC music industry. His exceptional talent and musical abilities led to various opportunities, including performances in productions, clubs, recording sessions, and collaborations with renowned big bands.

In 2022, Itay began a monthly residency at Ornithology Jazz Club in New York City, featuring emerging talents and showcasing his innovative jazz style.
